Had a great day chilling, eating and shopping with bff and pal Silvia - please visit her blogspot too :-)
We visited Venn bar+cafe for breakfast, Uncle Joe's Mess Hall (yeah I love that place) for lunch and Moana Coffee for some afternoon tea and chilling!
Food: Baked cannellini and navy beans in a rich tomato sauce topped with toasted brioche and a soft poached egg
Drinks: Cappuccino & long macchiato (topped up)
The Venn store
Venn located on 16 Queen Street, a lane way connected to Raine Square. Featuring an art gallery, bar and cafe, local artist studios and a design shop.
Open Monday - Saturday 7am onwards.
The food was great, finally a poached egg that was cooked to perfection!! Great service and my long macchiato was done well!
Food: Sweet treats made by Charlotte Hay Garth,
Frank and Beans - House four bean mix, chorizo, tomato and maple syrup and Mumma's sausage roll w/ tomato relish & salad
Uncle Joe's Mess Hall located on 76 King Street, also tucked away in a lane way. One of my favourite places to chill/eat/visit and for all those guys out there its also a barber!
Open Monday - Saturday from 10am onwards.
The food as always was great, my sausage roll was full of flavour and Silvia enjoyed her frank and beans - c'mon its tomato, beans and chorizo um... YUM.
The decor is beautiful/vintage/retro - love it.
Food: Blueberry & coconut muffin & London Fog
London Fog - Earl grey and vanilla combined and topped w/ milk
in other words its my new favourite Latte.
Moana Coffee located on 618 Hay Street, in a restored heritage building known as Moana Chambers. This balcony cafe shows exquisite and beautiful views just a short trip away from the busy Hay St Mall.
Have yet to try 'actual' food but the needless to say that London Fog is t0-die-f0r. Service is also very friendly and its a really nice place to chill!
Open from Monday - Saturday, weekdays 7am onwards and weekends 10am onwards.
